Let me begin by saying welcome to MelissaNewton.com. I’m eager to share the material presented on the site. Like you, there are many men and women who want to "make life on your own terms."

I created MN.com for a variety of reasons. First, as a speaker and author, I'm solicited for presentations. Also, I contact individuals for interviews for my oral history projects and articles. MN.com makes it incredibly convenient to refer people to the site to read about my work and interests.

Second, I wanted to develop a one-stop location to find the resources that set people on the road to becoming knowledgeable, successful individuals.  The most important component of reaching a higher level of success is developing your confidence as a speaker.  Of course, when I say "speaker", I'm referring to the skill of verbal communication.  You want to feel comfortable speaking in both a social and professional environment. MN.com shows you the tools to get started.

As referenced above, the site also provides easy reference to my work in the preservation of oral history. Whether involved as a subject in a book, article, or Oral History Video, participants can become familiar with me (Profile) by visiting MN.com. It is also my hope that educating others about preserving their family and individual Oral History, the window to the past is never closed.

As you browse the site, you will notice the underlying theme - "Make Life on Your Own Terms".  This means taking positive, aggressive action to make your life what you want it to be. MN.com gives you the information and resources to reach your goals. It is here where you can begin to become a confident and knowledgeable individual. It is also sharing how you may connect with your past and envision your future by preserving what is most important to you - your family’s legacy.
